Shawnee Presbyterian Church

We are open...
for in-person worship AND we will continue to be streamed on Facebook Live so that everyone can participate in worship together. There is also a new page on our website, Past Worship Services. It's archive of videos of past services starting with the service from Sunday, September 6th.

What will our worship in-pesron look like and what will be required?

  • When you enter the building you will need to be wearing a mask.
  • You will need to have your temperature taken at the door.
  • When cleared to enter, please go directly to your seat in the sanctuary.
  • Worship will begin promptly at 10:30.
  • Feel free to sing or speak together, but always wear your mask.
  • Please exit the church building. Any conversation needs to be done outside on the sidewalk or parking lot.
  • Everyone will be required to wear a mask the entire time you are in the building. Please bring your own mask, but if you forget, we will have one available for you. Extra masks as needed and hand sanitizer will be available in the Narthex.
  • Everyone will need to enter through the front doors, have their temperature checked, and proceed to the sanctuary. We cannot stop and talk in the halls.
  • A table is set up in the Narthex with hand sanitizer, and a container to drop your offering. Offering can be dropped before or after worship.
  • There will be no physical contact shared between one another. This means no hugs or handshakes.
  • Seating in the Sanctuary will be done to provide safe social distancing. The Bibles and hymnals have been removed from the Sanctuary. The entire service will be led by worship leaders and projected image.
  • The offering will be collected in a large basket in the Narthex, removing the need to pass plates during worship.
  • When the worship service is over, an usher will dismiss us row by row.
  • The expectation is that everyone will go directly outside, where fellowship can occur, but social distancing is expected.
  • Communion will be picked up by individuals on their way into worship. They are prepackaged with both bread and juice.
  • Even with these restrictions it will be wonderful to see everyone again.

Facebook Live and Past Services Video Archive
We will continue to be streamed on Facebook Live so that everyone can participate in worship together. It is our plan for our Facebook presence to remain well into the future.

If you don't have a Facebook account or don't wish to have one, but would like to be able to view the services from home they are available on our website. You can find the link for these under the Events and Past Services section of the navigation at the top of this page or you can CLICK HERE.

If you miss a Sunday church service or you would like to watch it again or share it with a friend, you have the capability to watch it over, and over again.
