Pandemic Advent Prayers with Pastor Craig
Wednesdays 10:00 online beginning on November 25th and running through December 23rd.
Praying and keeping a regular prayer life can be challenging.  Knowing what to pray about and even how to pray during a holy season like Advent can seem overwhelming.  Praying and growing our relationship with God during a time of a global pandemic may well seem almost impossible.  Pastor Craig will be leading a special study on Pandemic Advent Prayers with each lesson presented on Facebook Live at 10:00am on Wednesdays Nov 25 through December 23.  These studies will remain available on our Facebook page throughout Advent and will also be available after the study on our church website at www.shawneepres.org

Please bring your gift cards to the office, or put your cash donations in the offering plate (designated as Neiman School) by no later than December 16th so we can get these to Neiman School for distribution before school lets out for the holidays.

Lighting Advent Candles
Would you or your family like to share in our Advent worship by lighting the Advent Candles each week?  This is one more example of 2020 being different than any other year.  Here are the options you have that are not normally available:

  1. Light the candles live during worship.
  2. Record your family lighting the candles in the sanctuary before the service and still be seen.
  3. Record your family lighting the candles at your home and be seen during the service.

If you are interested in any of the above options, please contact Pastor Craig soon as there are only 5 services in which the Advent Candles are lit.  pastor@shawneepres.org

Communion during Advent & Christmas
We will be celebrating Communion on Sunday, December 6 and Christmas Eve.  The prepacked communion cups will be available for you to take home this Sunday if you desire.  Please remember to take two cups for every person who will be taking communion.  These prepackaged cups are shelf stable and do not require any refrigeration or special storage.  We will have other designated times you can come by the church to pick these up as the Advent season progresses.
